Conference Ink
Audio Recording

Professional audio,
anywhere you
need to listen.

Conference Ink records on native iOS audio frameworks — not a web audio workaround. Long sessions, offline environments, and device interruptions are handled with at most a few seconds of loss.

Built to protect your recordings

The recording engine was designed around one goal: minimise data loss in every scenario.

Native AVAudioEngine on iOS

Built on Apple's AVAudioEngine — the same audio stack professional recording apps use. No web-based audio APIs, no compression artifacts. Clean capture from your phone's microphone array.

Session length by plan

Record up to 29 minutes on Free or up to 4 hours on Ink. The native recorder writes audio in crash-safe segments from opening remarks to the last question.

Recording works fully offline

No internet connection required to record. Audio is written to disk in real time. If you lose connectivity mid-session, recording continues uninterrupted. On iOS 26, on-device live transcription keeps working offline too; cloud transcription and cloud AI summaries run when you're back online.

Crash-safe audio segments

Audio hits disk every few seconds as it's recorded — never held in memory only. If the app is interrupted, you lose at most a few seconds, not the entire session. Every chunk is a complete file on disk.

Privacy-first audio retention

Raw audio is deleted from the cloud within about 48 hours after transcription. What stays are your transcript, notes, and summary — the recording itself does not linger on our servers.

Re-transcribe from your device

Your device keeps its copy of the audio for about 30 days. While the recording and a language model remain there, you can privately re-transcribe a recorded session on-device, or choose cloud processing for features such as speaker diarization on Ink.

Private import path

Import audio for on-device transcription where supported. If you import a video, Conference Ink extracts the audio on-device first; the video file is never uploaded.
